ACA officer held for stealing gun, other items
GEORGE TOWN: An Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) officer was picked up by police for allegedly stealing a pistol, live ammunition, camcorders and digital cameras from the ACA office here.
The officer, in his 30s, had allegedly broken open a metal cabinet at the ACA office in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah to steal the items, which included five live bullets, two camcorders and two digital cameras.
Several ACA officers discovered the theft on Monday morning.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Azam Abdul Hamid said a police report was lodged at the North East district police headquarters at 11am on Monday.
He said the suspect, believed to be a drug addict, was arrested at his house in Jelutong at 9pm the same day.
ACP Azam said the suspect had been remanded for a week for further investigations.
If convicted, the man faces a maximum jail term of 14 years.
Ah, another laughable matter. See, ACA stands for Anti Corruption Agency. A person who is working under ACA is respectable officers. Do you know why our country corruption rate is sometimes so high that it’s quite unimaginable sometimes? Pay our tribute to officers like above.
These bunch of people who we expect to stop the corruption instead steal and corrupt more in a sense.
Dig much deeper. Why would an ACA officer steal guns and ammunitions? Wouldn’t you agree with the fact that it might be sold elsewhere? Yes, it would be . To who, I’m pretty sure it’s not those Gandhi-minded citizens. Either bank robbers or any other hardcore criminals.
Plus he was a drug addict? Please tell me how come a drug addict be Anti Corruption officer? With all this corruption running within the department, talk to me about their performance.
Sometimes you wonder how criminals get hold of this guns. Well, we have Anti Corruption Officers.
Oh, please, take out the ‘Anti’ part from your name my dear ACA.

He is a drug addict?not even a recovered drug addict..he is suspected to be a drug addict?so what were ACA doing when they had a feeling that this dude might be a drug addict?How simple they make this sound..like it’s no big deal but if you have a peaceful demonstration, you could end up under ISA..
