I presume you are a beleiver of Shridi and I can assure you there is nothing bad in getting a tortoise. Infact if you read the Sai Vrat you will see that Swami has quoted that if you think of him he will protect you like the Mother of a Tortoise.

The who|e fami|y had a prob and 1st h|s mum passed away (sudden’death) then fo||owed by h|s brother ‘n’ then h|s sister met an accident and recent|y he passed away bcoz of accident a|so. tota| fami|y is gOne bt before that | hv never seen a happy fami|y |ike them. Even ti| today | can’t be|ieve t|s happen to h|s family but wHen |t comes to tortoise you a|ways (hv to think twice)..| a|so don’t want to b|ame on the sma|| animal, bt k|nda confusing..ti| today t|s is still running |n my m|nd buddies…

my believe wud be…tortoise or in tamil ‘aamai’ which is part of ‘poraamai’ (jealousy).
