Just a few cents of my mind

First of all, I just don’t get why she was mentioning that those Indian gals were speaking so called US accent or whatever crap.Yes,I do admit that these Indian gals talk in a manner that shows that they are up to the Western culture. But that’s not the point here. When that racist blogger herself having such a horror command of English, don’t mind the spelling mistakes and bad pronunciations and grammatical mistakes, how could she ever write such a blog? She doesn’t know how to proof-read her materials before publishing it? Or maybe she wrote it that way because that’s the standard of English among Malays nowadays. I’m not being racist here, but I have numerous Malay friends who can actually make foreigners and in this sense the “whites” to go wow when they speak English. These types of Malays are Malays that know very well how to behave and speak no matter where they put their ideas into. And again, such an error-prone blog? She must be really crazy for firing bullets into an empty jungle.

Second, racism is an issue that is getting way out of hand nowadays. Each race claims that their race deserves better treatment and recognition and they claim that they are superior to the others. This is not RIGHT AT ALL!! Malaysia is a country where she has been bestowed with wide array of unique races and by all means, they should be united to create a race called “Bangsa Malaysia”. IF you all ask my honest opinion, I would rather go back to the 50′s,60′s and 70′s to live my life instead of now, because that would be the ideal time where a truly harmonious race of Malaysia lived. The people born in that era are the same age group people who believes that all races are the same and they are the ones who believed Malaysia will prosper in the future without any issues of racism. How shattered would their heart be when they see all these happening in their beloved country?

And third, by getting personal attacks on her, it doesn’t make us all better than her. Aren’t we getting racist as well? “Kerana setitik nila,rosak susu sebelanga”. How well have this pepatah been true in this sense? Because of 1 racist blogger who is most probably in her 20′s, just finished her college days or probably still in it, because of 1 blogger who has undermined the values of freedom speech and the values of open-minded society, does the rest deserve to get the same bad names ? Do the others deserve to get some mockery as well? Think about it.

Think about how many other Malay friends we have. How many times have you gone out for a drink with them after class, after work, after football or futsal, after any birthdays or weddings? OR how many pics have you people have taken with our Muslim friends? Don’t they value more than these pieces of crap that we’re wasting our time with? Its time to prove that we are an open society that knows that people’s collective worthiness is more than personal behaviorism. Condoning such an act is the right thing to do, yes but getting personal and making scattered attacks makes us look like her.

To Durai, you were right in eliminating those personal attacks because they would obviously infuriate others as well. We write and publish blogs to make sure people get our mind sets. Forgiving and teaching her a lesson in her own medicine would be the right way to punish her. I would suggest to the guys here condemning her critically, not being abusive and hurling personal attacks. That is not what we are pushing for in this age. Thank you
