PS# 2012 is when the mayan count calender end and end of the cycle (world?) and beginning of ‘new age’. end of cycle and new age is open to personal/anthropology/cultural interpretation.

black holes are the results of dying stars. How can one be created when our sun is still young, and the nearest solar system millions of light years away.
Anyway, what black hole are you talking about? Shouldn’t the other be desirable?

strictly theoritally speaking , there is theory that a stable black hole can be created when two opposing particle beam collide .
this upcoming experiment will be conducted in CERN using a LHC particle collider (which is the world largest machine , its 27km big !!!). this experiment was suppose to be conducted last year but something went wrong and im not sure when the experiment will be re-initiated.

Yes, i have heard about the CERN and their latest machinery, but i think that they’re main purpose is to try and make nuclear fusion possible (joining of atomic nuclei) which could well replace the current method of extracting nuclear energy, nuclear fission(splitting of the atomic nuclei) that is. The main problem of achieving the former is trying to get the optimum speed to make 2 or more similar atomic nuclei to merge and form a larger nuclei. It is proven to be almost impossible to do so at our current level of nuclear physics understanding, but apparently CERN are confident that they may already have the solution. They are already undergoing a couple of experiments, and the one you’ve mentioned did fail due to some technical complications, you could read about these in Wikipedia.
Also, if they could prove the ‘Big Bang’ theory or worst still, ‘invent’ a Black Hole right in their backyard, then i see no benefits in such things, because we will all fail anyway, either failing to prove the various theories, or succeed in destroying our beloved Earth because there’s no need telling what a Black Hole is capable of.
